Coach Zamora started in Alice in 1984. She spent 30 years in the Alice ISD system before she retired in 2014. In 1990, she became the girls coordinator, Head cross country, Head Girls basketball, Head girls track. During her time she coached state qualifiers in cross country, regional qualifiers in track and, in girls basketball, she lead the 4A Lady Coyotes to 3 district championships, 9 bi- district championships, 5 Area championships, 3 Quarterfinalist
championships, and 3 Regional tournament appearances, elected coach of year in 31-4A for 3 years.
She gives most of the credit to this success to the athletes, parents, and coaching staff. After retirement she did not quit coaching. She volunteered her time to coach her daughter and her teammates during summer time. One of her proudest moments was to see her daughter and her team play in the STATE 3A tournament consecutive years.
Coach Zamora has returned to Alice, Texas to help bring the winning mentality to the Lady Coyote Program!
